The Regional API data set, which launched Nov. 8, 2018, allows retrieval of all BEA regional data with one set of parameters. This is the data set to use to retrieve BEA data about states, counties, MSAs, and other local areas.
Two older data sets, RegionalIncome and RegionalProduct, are now deprecated and will eventually be removed. Developers can use the crosswalk below to choose the correct TableName parameter in the new Regional data set to replace the Component parameter in the RegionalProduct data or the TableName parameter in the RegionalIncome data set.
The units used in some tables in both the two older data sets and the new Regional data set are changing. See the Change in Units table below.

The launch of the Regional data set is accompanied by changes to the units of some tables. For example, values in millions now have one decimal place. Some tables previously expressed in thousands will now have values in millions, and vice versa. Below is a list of other changes to the public tables.
